Chemistry & Microbiology Field Analyst
Field analysts will begin their workday at the lab but perform the majority of their work at cannabis cultivation and processing facilities, where they work directly with clients to carefully collect representative samples of marijuana and hemp from production batches.
Due to the scientific nature of PureVita’s sampling procedures, all field analysts are required to have a background in biology or chemistry. Some previous experience with cannabis or hemp cultivation is desirable, but not required.
The Analytical Chemist primary role is to perform and carry out the required procedures to generate accurate analytical data for samples presented to the laboratory for testing. This includes, but is not limited to, instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and the data analysis for each test performed. From time to time, the Analytical Chemist may fulfill the duties typically performed by the Fields Analysts.
The Lab Technician will be an hourly position whose primary responsibility is to support our Lab Analysts who perform a variety of tests. The Lab Tech will preparation samples, calibrate and prepare equipment, order and manage supplies, and other various tasks in the laboratory to help our Analysts operate as efficiently as possible. Great teamwork, communication, attention to detail and follow through are critical characteristics for this role.
